The Vogel family has been creating fine leatherwork and saddles for more than 32 years, and we've been in business in Albany County, Wyoming for more than 80 years. We founded The Boardwalk in Laramie, Wyoming in 1967, and customers come to us from all over the globe. We work hard to make sure our customers are delighted with our leather products, and we get a lot of repeat business.

The Boardwalk has outstanding leather crafters, with decades of experience. Jerry Gillespie has been working on saddles, chaps, and custom leather for more than 15 years. Marsha Ginther is our pack saddle specialist, designing and building them from the ground up. Our gun leather, scabbards, knife sheaths, strap leather, and other fine leather products feature excellent craftsmanship.  All of our employees cut their teeth working on western ranches, and they all work full time creating top quality leather products.

We build our custom saddles from scratch. We start with the tree and the leather, and the tooling is done to our customers specifications. Our leather comes from the finest tanneries in the U.S., including the Herman Oaks Leather Company.
